Brooks Scavone

Brooks Scavone received their Bachelors in Elementary Education and Masters of Counseling with a Specialization in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University. Brooks has been working in the Office of AccessAbility Services at Eastern since January 2017. Their passion is working to enhance the student experience for underrepresented groups such as persons with disabilities and the LGBTQ+ community.

Morgan Sutton

Morgan Sutton has served in her current role as the Campus Lead for Disability and Accessibility Services at Quinebaug Valley Community College since the Fall of 2021. Prior to this, Morgan served in similar roles at institutions throughout the state and New England. Morgan holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership with a focus in Higher Education and Student Affairs and a Graduate Certificate in Postsecondary Disability Services from UConn, as well as a B.S. in Counseling Psychology from Wheelock College. At work, Morgan’s passions include supporting and challenging students to realize and live out their fullest potential, both academically and socially, while encouraging them to remain socially conscious and compassionate members of their communities. Outside of work, Morgan enjoys spending time at home with her fiancé and their cat, Daisy, testing out new recipes in the kitchen, and exploring new hiking areas across the state.

Debbie Kosior

Debbie Kosior has worked in various capacities in the field of Disability Services since 2010. She is the current Learning Disabilities Specialist at Tunxis Community College and has served in this role since July 2021. Prior to this, she provided disability support for both Tunxis Community College and Asnuntuck Community College for over three and a half years. Debbie is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Disability Services in Higher Education from CUNY School of Professional Studies and received her Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Analysis from St. John’s University. Debbie is passionate about helping students find their voice as they increase their confidence, self-advocacy skills and gain independence in their college endeavors.

Treasurer

Stephanie Hackett

Stephanie has worked in disability services since graduating with a Masters in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University in 2014, and is currently the Associate Director for Accessibility Services at Southern Connecticut State University. She has experience at both private and public institutions, and strives to help students be the arbiter of their own created successes.
